Two ways to measure

No tools, no guesswork.

Choose whichever is easier — each takes less than five minutes.

Method one

Measure a ring you already own

Choose a ring that fits the intended finger comfortably. Lay it on a ruler and measure the inside diameter — edge to edge across the opening — in millimetres, then match it to the Inside Diameter column below.

Method two

The paper or string wrap

Wrap a thin strip of paper or a length of string snugly around the base of your finger and mark where the end meets. Lay it flat against a ruler, measure the length in millimetres, and match it to the Circumference column below.

For an exact reading

Three details that matter.

Measure at the end of the day.Fingers are at their fullest in the evening and in warm weather; measuring then gives the most reliable everyday fit.
Warm hands, not cold.Cold fingers contract. Measure with your hands at a comfortable room temperature.
Mind the width of the band.Wide and substantial bands sit more snugly. For a band wider than 6 mm, consider going up half a size.
